RUSSIAN NUCLEAR STRATEGY CHANGED: NOW PUTIN IS SERIOUS
Nothing is stable in this world, especially Vladimir Putin’s mood during his war in Ukraine. While Russian politicians and officials hurl nuclear threats with enviable regularity, and for some, such as Dmitry Medvedev, such rhetoric has become an almost daily political PR exercise, Western politicians know well when the threat is serious. And while in May Beijing dissuaded Putin from using nuclear weapons, albeit tactical ones, on September 25 everything changed. Putin held two meetings, one big and one closed, in which he was very angry.
