488 Ukrainian athletes and coaches were killed in the Russian-Ukrainian war. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 40 countries welcomed Ukrainian athletes,  offering all necessary conditions for their stay and training. Now, for many Ukrainians, participation in the Olympic Games is yet another opportunity to showcase Ukraine to the world.
