ZELENSKYY WANTS TO CHANGE THE PM AND THE SPEAKER OF THE PARLIAMENT. AGAIN
There are more and more rumours that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is "tired" of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, who has been heading the government since March 2020. Such rumours of a government change are raised almost every six months, but this time it seems to be serious.
Denys Shmyhal became the Prime Minister of the new Ukrainian government after the first head of President Zelenskyy's office was replaced by Andriy Yermak, who almost immediately suggested Shmyhal for the position. Shmyhal was a longtime manager of a private energy company of Ukraine's largest oligarch. As Prime Minister, he replaced the young and inexperienced but pro-Western reformer Oleksiy Honcharuk.
